Agile BA Training Course

Agile Business Analysis Training Course with highly practical training on Agile Business Analysis methods and ceremonies.

This Agile Business Analysis Training Course is a practical workshop ideally suited for Business Analysts, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Agile Team members looking to understand and hone their skills in Story Mapping, User Story writing and elaborating stories with well written acceptance criteria.

This online workshop is held live in four four-hour sessions over two days. (With an additional low-cost extension module held the following day.)

Participants learn and practice agile-specific business analysis techniques through a combination of self-paced learning before, after the class, and in-session with one of our Senior Business Analysis Consultants. Our instructors demonstrate how to prepare and facilitate conversations for key agile business analysis activities, and participants have opportunity to learn and practice these techniques through group discussions, instructor-lead demonstrations, as well as individual and group exercises. Attendees should expect 2-4 hours of out-of-classroom pre-work and assignments.

In this course, we focus primarily on applying the key agile practices of user stories and story mapping. We provide tons of examples and templates, and introduce participants to User Story and other Discovery Canvases™ as tools to help Business Analysts and Agile Teams visually collaborate in-person and during remote online meetings. In the add-on module, we spend an additional four hours teaching and practicing Agile Business Analysis capabilities to support product backlog management.

While this course can be taught onsite with face-to-face live instruction, the class has been optimized for online learning with various collaboration tools and using Adaptive's Collaborative Online Learning Model which emphasizes engagement and experiential learning with lots of video, group discussion, and exercises to make your time with us fun and productive.

What You Will Learn

  1. Understand the roles and responsibilities of a Business Analyst in an agile environment

Agile BA Course Reviews

My favourite parts of the class were: the tools used (especially Mural), the User story discovery canvas is brilliant – Templates like this are a rare find, and the practical tips and techniques.

Really good course for BA’s and any Agile Team. Not just a rehash of Agile 101 basics. And excellent instructor too. I would love if all our BA’s (and our CSM’s) took this.

The best team to prepare you for your IIBA certification. I took the Adaptive CBAP training, leveraged their resources, took the exam, and passed in my first attempt! The Adpative team was there for me along every step. I highly recommend them for CBAP!
