IIBA CPOA (Certificate in Product Ownership Analysis) is a certification for business analysts who want to be product owners. It demonstrates foundational knowledge in the field.

Apply online through IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) and accept the IIBA code of conduct.

To become IIBA CPOA eligible, all you have to do is sign the IIBA’s code of conduct and pass the IIBA CPOA exam.

It's a 90-minute duration, 60 multiple-choice question exam. The test is conducted through a remote proctored session, on your schedule and from the convenience of your home.

IIBA doesn't provide any passing score for its tests.

CPOA certification doesn't expire and is valid for life.

CPOA certification doesn't need to be renewed as it is valid forever. You can progress to certifications such as CBAP.

No, there are no specific work experience or education prerequisites for CPOA. However, some experience in reporting is helpful.

The POA program, including IIBA’s Guide to Product Ownership Analysis and Digital Access resources, provides a foundational understanding of the standards of practice, techniques, case studies, and the POA framework.
