What is CBAP Certification Cost?

CBAP certification is the Gold Standard Certification for Senior Business Analysts. CBAP certification cost varies based on membership types, IIBA members, IIBA Corporate Members and Non-members. IIBA members enjoy a discount of USD 155 over non-members.

To become a member, one needs to pay between USD 55 to USD 155 based on one's country of residence. As the membership cost (maximum USD 155) is lower than the discount offered to members (USD 155), it always makes sense to become a member.

One also enjoys many other benefits such as access to a IIBA Digital Library (11000+ books) and member only events.

CBAP certification cost has 3 components:

1. IIBA membership fee: Varies based on the country of residence of the learner

Region Membership Fee
Region 1 USD 155 + Canadian Local Taxes if one is in Canada

How can you reduce the overall cost of CBAP certification?

To reduce the overall cost of CBAP certification, you can consider the following strategies:

1. Utilize On-demand Training Options: On-demand training resources can help you prepare for the exam without the need for expensive prep courses. These come at a lower cost and can be utilized as per your convenience.

2. Self-study approach: Instead of enrolling in costly training programs, opt for a self-study approach using CBAP study guides, practice exams, and online materials.

3. Take advantage of discounts: Keep an eye out for any discounts or promotions offered by IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) for exam fees or study materials.

4. Plan your training strategically: Some training providers offer discounts, so plan accordingly to take advantage of these savings.

5. Consider bundled packages: Some providers offer bundled packages that include exam fees, study materials, and practice tests at a discounted rate compared to purchasing them separately. By implementing these cost-saving strategies, you can work towards obtaining your CBAP certification more affordably.

Additional Costs Apart from the application and exam fees, there may be additional costs associated with the CBAP certification process, which may include business analysis certification study materials, training courses, and travel expenses if you choose to attend a classroom training program; the training cost can vary significantly based on the provider you select.

How does the CBAP® exam fee differ by membership status?

The CBAP exam fee is structured to provide significant savings for IIBA members compared to non-members. For IIBA members, the examination fee is set at USD 350, while non-members face a higher fee of USD 505. This distinction highlights the value of IIBA membership, which not only grants access to reduced exam fees but also offers a USD 155 discount over non-membership fees.

Furthermore, IIBA membership comes with numerous membership benefits beyond just the exam fee discount. Members gain access to the IIBA Digital Library, which boasts over 11,000 resources, and exclusive invitations to member-only events while adhering to the IIBA's Code of Conduct. This makes the initial membership fee, which ranges from USD 55 to USD 155 depending on the country, a worthwhile investment for those pursuing CBAP certification. By becoming a member, candidates can effectively reduce their overall certification costs while enhancing their professional development resources.
