Coming prepared for class is an essential part of being a successful candidate and will improve your educational experience immensely. We at Adaptive US would encourage you to go through the following before attending the classroom sessions:
a. Adaptive US Study Guide. It is highly recommended that you go through the chapters from Adaptive US study guide as per session agenda. Adaptive US Study Guide for each certification is a comprehensive and condensed version of the guidebook released by IIBA for that specific certification. Adaptive Study Guides are written by BA experts to clear your certification in the first go. A quick read will help you in following the class better.
b. e-Learning videos and audio books. It is a good practice to go through the e-learnings and audio books for the session prior to the session. e-Learning videos are arranged Chapter-wise in Thinkific Learning Portal under the respective Chapters. Adaptive has created several e-learning videos for you to get a sound understanding of the concepts. Listening to audio books on each knowledge area/chapter is a great way to utilize your spare time.
c. IIBA BABoK® V3.0 guide (for core certifications like CBAP, CCBA and ECBA). If you are an IIBA member, you can download the complimentary copy of the BABoK® V3.0 guide from the website. If you are not an IIBA member, you can also purchase it if you wish to do so. A quick glance through BABoK® will give you an idea of the topics which will be covered during the sessions.
d. Download and print the Business Analysis Workbook based on BABoK V3.0. (available for core certifications like CBAP, CCBA and ECBA) A downloadable and printable copy of the workbook is available in Thinkific under the Reference Materials section. You can use this to take notes during the session or during your exam preparation.
e. Keep any queries on the subject ready for the faculty to answer. The classroom sessions will give you an opportunity to clarify your doubts with the faculty. Keep your questions ready so that you don’t miss out on any!
